Using 9v batteries is great to keep the Startech LANTESTPRO RJ45 Network Cable tester portable but it would have been get to have a 9v power adapter to come with the tester too. Not a big deal it would have just been a nice addition. I had to supply my own 3 feet and 6 feet RJ-45 cables to connect the Terminators to the RJ-45 wall out let. The tester is always left in the OFF position when stored in its carrying case. I make sure the LCD display is not lite, except for when the tester is first turned on.
